1) use itunes 8 and update the firmware to 2.2.12) connected your iphone then run quickpwn3) once quickpqn detects that your phone is connected press next4) your phones picture should display on the screen with a box that has the ispw fileif there is no box displaying you will manually have to choose the firmware5) after clicking next check the unlock6) just follow the on screen instruction (eg: press & hold home button 10 second ... etc)

after connected iPhone with itunes, itunes will ask you to do update. * You must click "NO". Now go to "restore" from summary button. Hold SHIFT key & Click RESTORE. Browse to iPhone firm ware 2.2 downloaded earlier. & Click ok to update.
 Be patient & wait about 15 minutes
Upon update done close itunes, connect your phone and launch quickpwn.click next until it asks you for your ispw file click browse and then direct that box to the file that you downloaded earlier and go on next .. choose what you want your iphone to do,
NOTICE IT WONT HAVE THE "UNLOCK" option because in order to unlock it we will need to download yellowsnow
After jailbroken your iphone 3g, go to cydia and update all the necessary packages from cydia. Yellowsnow should already be downloaded.
Lastly close cydia and put your sim card in .. wait till your mobile network services provider name appeal on yor iPhone. otherwise, remove the sim card & reinsert again & restart the phone.
